Who is The Lost Mumbaikar ?

I am Shiju George also known as “The Lost Mumbaikar”.

A Dubai-based globetrotter, road-tripper, and storyteller who believes travel is not an escape from life, but a way to make sure life never escapes me.

My journey began long before the first passport stamp. It started in childhood through books, maps, geography and history lessons, newspapers, and movies that made the world feel far bigger than the place, I grew up in. I believed the world looked like the movies Perfectly lit, effortlessly dramatic, always moving to a background score. Hollywood movies made destinations iconic, Anthony Bourdain taught me to look beyond postcards and Che Guevara showed me that roads can transform a person from within.

Long before I boarded my first flight, I had already travelled the world in my imagination.

I did not discover this life on the road. I built it in my mind first.

What The Lost Mumbaikar Represents:

Dream. Dare. Do.

The Lost Mumbaikar began like every traveler. As a tourist, chasing landmarks, movie scenes, and postcard moments. But over time, the journey evolved. Travel stopped being about ticking places and started becoming about perspective, people, and purpose. Mumbai built the instinct; Resilience, observation and street-smart thinking and the road refined it across 90+ countries.

Today, The Lost Mumbaikar represents travel as transformation, not tourism. It is about choosing depth over display, journeys over destinations, and clarity over chaos. It is a reminder that your beginning does not define your direction. You can start anywhere, but with the right mindset, discipline, and intent, you can build a life that goes far beyond what you once imagined.

The Lost Mumbaikar says:

Don’t just travel to see the world. Travel until the world changes how you see.
