  • Don’t Kiss or Hug In Public :- One of the things you should keep in mind is that public displays of affection are not allowed in Dubai, and can seem offensive. Keep your hands to yourself, especially when you are in crowded places. It may seem ridiculous to others, but this is the culture in Dubai, so make sure to respect it.
  • Don’t Eat Or Drink On Public Transport:-Eating, drinking, and chewing gum is prohibited on all public transport. This probably explains why they are so clean and you must respect all the norms and regulations.
  • Don’t Drink Alcohol In Public Spaces:-Most hotels have bars, clubs, and restaurants serving alcohol to international visitors. It is illegal to drink in public or indeed to be inebriated in public.
  • Avoid visiting during Ramadan :- If you are Muslim and you want to respect the holy month of Ramadan, it is advisable to not visit during this time. It’s not the best time for those who are into partying, drinking and smoking, eating outside publicly between sunrise and sunsets. Restaurants would be closed during that time especially during the daytime and the only thing that would be allowed would be in the hotel room.
  • Don’t take a picture without permission:- Even though you might think a place is beautiful to take pictures you should abide by the rules and if they allow you to do so only then you should take pictures. Strict rules are followed so you mustn’t take pictures of an Emirati woman without her permission.
  • Do not use your left hand to greet anyone
  • Do not drink and drive :- Even though some bars and restaurants serve alcohol, you mustn’t intake alcohol in public hence, drinking and driving can land you in prison. They might put serious charges.
