Dubai: The World’s Fairest City for Winter Vacations

While watching Pathan movie yesterday, I thought to pen this blog as few of the iconic places of Dubai have been shown. This blog will give you a good idea about the best and must visit places in Dubai during winter season if you are visiting for a week or 10 days. The weather is pleasant in the winter specially from December to February making it an ideal time to explore the city.

Dubai is one of the safest, convenient, and most popular tourist destination known for its turquoise beaches, luxury shopping, world-class dining, and iconic architecture. Dubai is home to several expos throughout the year, which provide an opportunity for industry professionals and consumers to flock together and discover the latest trends and offerings.

In this blog, we will see that how we can cover maximum portion of Dubai if we strategize it properly. Most of the tourists missed important places during their tour as Dubai has so many things to be offered.

Al Fahidi

Al Fahidi is a historic district in Dubai, home to the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, also known as the Al Bastakiya. During the winter, you can visit this area and explore the narrow winding streets and traditional courtyard houses, which offer a glimpse into the city’s past. Al Seef is traditional designed new souq where you can see lots of shops and restaurants with creek in side. Please don’t forget to take selfie with traditionally designed Starbucks and one Dirham ride on old abra connecting this area to Diera.

There are also many restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy a meal or a drink, including traditional Arabic cafes. My personal best is Arabian Tea House where you can enjoy authentic Arabic cuisine.

Dubai Museum is a great place to visit during the winter season. It is located in the Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood and offers a glimpse into the history and culture of Dubai and the UAE.

You can explore the galleries, which feature exhibits on the history and culture of the region, including traditional crafts, weapons, and costumes.

You can also see the dioramas that depict life in the emirate in the past, such as the traditional souks, the palm frond houses, and the pearl diving village.

Additionally, you can also take a guided tour of the museum, which is led by knowledgeable guides who can provide more information about the exhibits and the region’s history. The museum also features interactive exhibits that allow visitors to learn more about the emirate’s past and traditional way of life.

Dubai Frame is must do at least from outside if you can’t make it from inside. Its largest Frame shape building which shows old Dubai from North side and modern architectural skyline of new Dubai from South side. The building shows the progress of Dubai from old fishing town to one of the best metropolitan city in the world.

One of the must do in this area is to explore-Museum of Future”. It is termed as the “most beautiful building in the world”. It is an exhibition place for futuristic and innovate ideas based on robotic and artificial intelligence as focus located in the Financial District in downtown of Dubai.

Jumeirah

This word is synonymous to Dubai and it means as coastal area in Emirati language. Some popular options include visiting La Mer, Box park, Bvlgari resort, Nikki beach, Etihad museum, Dubai Canal and City walk. The starting fighting scene of “Pathan movie” has so many shots of Dubai and City Walk is shown beautifully here where you can do some shopping and dining here. If you are visiting with the kids and have interest in rainforest creature or reptiles then I recommend you to visit “The Green Planet” where you can witness variety of creatures but seeing lazy sloths and anacondas are mesmerizing. If your guts allow then try to swim with dangerous trained piranhas.

Al Sufouh

There are many things to do in Al Sufouh during the winter season. Some popular options include Jumeirah beach, Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Madinat Jumeirah.

Burj Al Arab is a luxurious 5-star hotel located on the Arabian Gulf. It is known for its beach, which stretches for more than 3 kilometers. The white sand and clear blue water are perfect for swimming and sunbathing, and there’s always plenty of entertainment on offer. If you are fan of waterpark then Wild Wadi can be a good options. The hotel has a number of beautiful gardens, including one with a fountain and a water garden. There are also several restaurants and bars. I advise you to have some drinks in the Skyview bar with jaw dropping scene of sea and skyline of Dubai.

You can also take a walk along the Jumeirah beach and enjoy street fish foods with Bu Qtair fish restaurant in particular. Enjoy the traditionally designed souq-Madinat Jumeirah, and take a boat tour of the Arabian Gulf. There are also many restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy a meal or drinks.

There are many things to do in Dubai Marina during the winter season. Some popular options include visiting the Dubai Marina Walk, which offers views of all iconic and beautiful buildings along with Marina. You can also take a walk along the beach, visit the Bluewater islands and take a trip to the nearby The Palm Jumeirah where so many things to be done and explore.

I suggest you staying in The Atlantis hotel in The Palm Jumeirah. I agree that rooms are not cheaper but one can end their Dubai trip here with good relaxation, private beach of this property. Your stay includes enjoying one of the largest water park and understanding history of Atlantis by exploring “the Lost Chambers”. Also, you can explore new Atlantis called Atlantis-The Royal from outside while walking along the The Palm Jumeirah boardwalk.

Other notable things to visit are The Pointe with the largest fountain in the world and Dubai Harbour with luxury cruise ships stationed at most of the time as a perfect place for selfie. You can also have some good selfie in front of Cayan Tower which was first infinity tower in the world and one of the best buildings in Dubai. With the love, affection and prayers of all of you, its my home too where we can have coffee and share travel experiences.

Dubai offers plenty of opportunities for visitors to explore, whether shopping, dining, or sightseeing. The winter is a great time to visit, with pleasant weather and plenty of things to see and do which I mentioned as above. One thing which I haven’t highlighted is Global Village in Dubai which happens during winter from October till April. It’s a large outdoor fun village where most of the countries come and display their culture, traditional items and authentic cuisine. Live shows in terms of dance, folk music and breathtaking stunt shows can keep you busy till midnight in the bustling bazaars of each countries’ pavilion. If you are lucky then you can get a live show of any of your favorite celebrity too. Please don’t forget to collect souvenirs of each counties.

With so many fantastic places to visit in Dubai, you will have an unforgettable experience. I have so many videos on Dubai which you can explore on my YouTube channel.
